Gain Real-World Engineering Experience
AVT gives students the opportunity to work on real vehicle systems, collaborate across disciplines, and gain hands-on experience beyond the classroom.
Hands-On Engineering
Work directly with vehicle hardware, software, sensors, controls, testing systems, and advanced mobility technologies.
Technical Experience
Develop experience in autonomous driving, perception, vehicle controls, simulation, embedded systems, electrification, and system integration.
Multidisciplinary Teamwork
Collaborate with students from engineering, computer science, business, and other disciplines while solving challenging real-world problems.
Professional Development
Build technical, leadership, project-management, and communication skills while working on an industry-scale vehicle project.
Everyone Is Welcome
You do not need previous automotive experience to join AVT. Students can begin by attending a team meeting, meeting current members, and learning about the available technical and non-technical subteams.
Whether you are interested in software, robotics, mechanical design, electrical systems, controls, testing, communications, business, or project management, there is a place for you on the team.
AVT provides an environment where students can learn from one another, develop practical skills, and gradually take on more responsibility as they gain experience.
